Internship Details

Closing Date: 29 July 2024
Location: South Africa
Stipend: R9,306 per month

The MQA is inviting applications from qualified individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Eligibility:
    • Must be a South African citizen.
    • Unemployed and have never participated in an internship programme.
    • Must have a Grade 12 or Matric certificate.
    • Must hold a National Diploma or equivalent at NQF level 6 in the Financial and Accounting field.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent at NQF Level 7 in the Financial and Accounting field will be an added advantage.

Intern Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful intern will be involved in a variety of tasks including:

  • Processing invoices on accounting software
  • Processing electronic payments
  • Creditor’s statement reconciliations
  • Processing journals
  • Creditors control account reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Financial internal controls
  • General administration in a finance environment
  • Other tasks as delegated by the supervisor

Competencies

The ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of legislation and developments related to education and training
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proactive attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages
