The highly anticipated Miss South Africa 2024 pageant is set to take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the SunBet Arena at Time Square, Pretoria. The glittering ceremony will commence at 18h00, with a glamorous red carpet event kicking off at 17h30.
The Grand Event
Bonang Matheba, the celebrated South African media personality, returns as the host for this year’s pageant, promising an evening of elegance and excitement. The event will also feature performances by some of South Africa’s top talents, including Jesse Clegg, Kamo Mphela, Lebo Mashile, Zoë Modiga, and sign language activist Andiswa Gebashe.

The Road to the Finale: Crown Chasers
This year, the Miss South Africa Top 30 finalists participated in a reality show called Crown Chasers, which aired over several weeks, adding a new layer of excitement to the competition. The show culminated in the elimination of 20 contestants, leaving the final 10 to compete for the coveted crown. Notably, one contestant, Chidimma Adetshina, withdrew from the pageant just days before the finale due to allegations regarding her citizenship status.

- A BA graduate in Psychology and Languages, Kebalepile is currently pursuing her Honours Degree. She is a skills development facilitator passionate about youth empowerment through sports, believing it can transform lives and build stronger communities.
- Kirsten Khan (26) – Roodepoort, Gauteng
- A model and architectural draughting graduate, Kirsten is dedicated to mental health advocacy. She is compassionate, resilient, and driven by a desire to help others pursue their dreams.
- Layla Zoubair (29) – Kempton Park, Gauteng
- An outgoing individual, Layla thrives on challenges and exploration. Her curiosity fuels her passion for learning and personal growth, making every day an opportunity for new experiences.
- Lebohang Khoza (27) – Maritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal
- An educator of the performing arts, Lebohang is a choreographer and actor with a BA in Performing Arts. She aims to integrate performing arts therapy into educational spaces, driven by her open-minded and passionate approach.
- Mia le Roux (28) – Sasolburg, Free State / Oudtshoorn, Western Cape
- A marketing manager and model, Mia was diagnosed with profound hearing loss at a young age. Her resilience and dedication have inspired her to make a positive impact and break barriers.
Group 2 Finalists
- Nompumelelo Maduna (28) – Rockville, Soweto
- A marketer pursuing her master’s degree, Nompumelelo is also an aspiring saxophonist. She describes herself as generous, goal-driven, and hardworking, with a dream of performing in an orchestra in honor of her late father.
- Onalenna Constantin (26) – Potchefstroom, North West
- A law student, model, entrepreneur, and content creator, Onalenna is passionate about social justice and the need for social workers in schools. She is known for her resilience and unwavering determination.
- Ontshiametse Tlhopane (23) – Protea Glen, Soweto
- An aspiring model with qualifications in criminology, Ontshiametse is the founder of #SafeHere, an organization focused on positively impacting children’s lives. She believes in providing opportunities and resources for everyone to pursue greatness.
- Palesa Lombard (25) – Waverley, Johannesburg
- A final-year medical student, Palesa has a keen interest in neurological pathologies. She is fluent in multiple languages and balances her scientific pursuits with artistic endeavors, including modeling and creating artwork.
- Taahira Katz (25) – Nancefield, Soweto
- An international model with a degree in Social Science, Taahira has a passion for learning and mental health advocacy. She aims to collaborate with organizations addressing the mental health crisis.
