Salary Level (Min. to Mid): 518,016 – 630,161 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (Aligned to SETA Licence Term)
Location: Gauteng South Regional Office
Purpose: As a Client Liaison Officer, you will implement merSETA’s Client Services strategy to enhance client satisfaction and facilitate skills development. Your role will focus on guiding companies to meet regulatory requirements, supporting training partnerships, and managing learning interventions to ensure continuous progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide companies in developing, implementing, and monitoring mandatory grants.
- Ensure compliance with merSETA quality assurance and workplace approval policies.
- Promote and support participation in training partnerships and learning interventions.
- Monitor and guide employers in addressing identified gaps in learning interventions.
- Facilitate moderation of trade testing and assessments.
- Support capacity building initiatives and community-based programs.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Client Relationship Manager.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NQF Level 6 National Certificate in ODETP or National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering Studies, Business Studies, Administration, Project Management, Human Resources Development, or Training.
- NQF Level 7 qualification will be advantageous.
- Qualified Artisan will be preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in client liaison within a technical environment related to manufacturing and engineering.
- Experience in training and project management is advantageous.
- Strong collaboration, project management, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, time management, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and legislation, including Skills Development.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and own legally registered transport.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to compile reports and deliver presentations effectively.
