What Does the Corteva Agriscience Bursary Cover?
The bursary is aimed at students pursuing Agricultural qualifications at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Successful applicants will receive funding that covers:
- Full tuition fees
- Textbooks
- Accommodation, including accredited university residences
- Research costs (for postgraduate students)
Funding amounts:
- Undergraduate students: up to R95 000 per annum
- Postgraduate students: up to R125 000 per annum
Payments are made directly to the student’s tertiary institution.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Corteva Agriscience Bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be studying full-time towards an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Agriculture.
- Have completed the first year of study and be entering your second or higher year in 2025.
- Be enrolled at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution (College, University, or University of Technology) in South Africa.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Not be receiving any other bursary, scholarship, grant, or funding for 2025 (excluding NSFAS).
- Be unemployed.
- Be in financial need.
- Be willing to participate in vacation work with Corteva Agriscience.
- Be open to signing a bursary agreement with Corteva.
Preference will be given to students pursuing studies in fields listed on the AgriSETA Sectoral Priority Occupations List.
Application Process
There is no formal application form for this bursary. Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria must submit the following supporting documents:
- Certified copy of your ID (not older than 6 months).
- Academic records (including the latest results, on institution letterhead).
- Proof of tertiary registration (on institution letterhead).
- Fee statements from your tertiary institution (on institution letterhead).
- Proof of parent or guardian’s income (latest payslip, affidavit if unemployed, or proof of grant/pension if applicable).
- A motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary.
- Any additional documentation that supports your application.
Important: All documents must be clear copies. Missing documents may result in disqualification.
