Sassa Grant Payment Dates – June 2025
Sassa distributes permanent grants during the first week of each month, beginning on the second working day. No payments are made on weekends or public holidays.
- Older Persons Grants: Tuesday, 3 June 2025
- Disability Grants: Wednesday, 4 June 2025
- Children’s Grants: Thursday, 5 June 2025

Sassa Grant Amounts – June 2025
The confirmed grant amounts for June 2025 are as follows:
- Old Age Grant: R2315
- War Veterans Grant: R2335
- Disability Grant: R2315
- Foster Care Grant: R1250
- Care Dependency Grant: R2315
- Child Support Grant: R560
- Grant-in-Aid: R560
In addition, the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, commonly known as the R370 Sassa grant, is still being paid monthly to eligible unemployed South Africans.
Sassa Grant Increases for 2025
During the 2025 Budget Speech, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced two phased increases for Sassa grants:
- First increase: Implemented on 1 April 2025
- Second increase: Scheduled for 1 October 2025
These adjustments are part of government efforts to keep up with inflation and support the most vulnerable.
