Early Life and Background: Bokang Moleli, professionally known as Malome Vector, was a Lesotho-born singer-songwriter and rapper. Born in 1995 and raised in Maseru, Lesotho, Vector’s musical career began at the age of 14 in 2004 as a participant in his school choir before competing in various talent shows. His early involvement in music laid a strong foundation for his future career in the music industry.

Career: Malome Vector relocated to South Africa in 2020 and signed a recording deal with Ambitiouz Entertainment. His debut single, “Dumelang,” released in 2019, became commercially successful and was certified double platinum in South Africa. This success marked his rise to prominence in the music industry.

In 2020, Vector appeared on the single “Price To Pay” by South African DJ Miss Pru, alongside the duo Blaq Diamond, which further showcased his talent and expanded his reach.

Achievements: Malome Vector received a nomination for Best Artist, Duo, or Group in African Traditional at the 2021 All Africa Music Awards. His debut studio album, “Karabo,” was released on January 7, 2022, and debuted at number 1 on iTunes South Africa. The album was supported by three singles: “Dumelang,” “No Body,” and “Lerato.”

After parting ways with Ambitiouz Entertainment, Malome Vector established his independent label, The Whole Entertainment, and began working on his extended play (EP). In February 2024, he announced his EP titled “1964” via Instagram. The EP was released on March 28, 2024, and featured a blend of afro-pop, R&B, soul, and afro beats.

Tragic End: Tragically, Malome Vector passed away in a car accident on July 24, 2024, while traveling on the N8 in Free State, Bloemfontein, on his way to Lesotho. His untimely death marked the end of a promising career that had already made a significant impact on the music industry.
