AFDA, The School of the Creative Economy, is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to join their School of Live Performance at the Cape Town campus. Roles and Responsibilities
Reception Duties:
- Engage with the public, administrative staff, learning staff, and students.
Programmes Administration:
- Handle timetabling and attendance capture.
- Work with data, take minutes, and prepare reports.
Course Administration:
- Provide administrative support for coursework, contributing lecturers, projects, and theatre productions.
School Administration:
- Prepare budgets, handle invoicing and payments, and compile reports.
Student Administration:
- Manage attendance, keep records, offer general assistance, and prepare reports.
Key Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Strategic planning capabilities.

Selection Criteria
- Matric certificate.
- Proven work experience in tertiary education.
- Knowledge of the performance and/or film/television industries.
