Bursary Recipient Requirements
Recipients of the SARF bursary will be required to:
- Present their study subject to their local SARF branch
- Submit a progress report every six months
- Enroll as associate members of the SARF
Eligibility Requirements for the SARF Bursary
To qualify for the SARF bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Preference is given to South African residents, but SADC country members can also apply
- Must be pursuing a qualification in one of the specified road transport fields
- Must be enrolled at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- Application must be endorsed by the academic authority at the selected institution
- National Diploma students must have passed their first semester exams
- Degree students must have passed their first-year exams
- Preference is given to advanced level students (MTech, MSc, or higher), but undergraduate students can apply
- Preference is given to full-time students, though part-time and distance learning students can also apply
- Preference is given to employees of SARF members
- Must intend to work in the South African road transport industry after graduation
