About the PwC Bursary Programme
PwC is inviting students to apply for its bursary programme for the 2025 academic year. This bursary is specifically designed for students who wish to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant and are studying towards a SAICA-accredited degree. The PwC Chartered Accounting (CA) training programme is tailored to prepare students for the dynamic world of business, offering exposure to top-tier teams in a stimulating environment. Students can apply at any stage during or before their studies, with successful candidates starting their learnership after completing their honours degree or receiving their Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA).
Bursary Coverage
The PwC bursary offers financial support based on academic performance and financial need:
- Academic Achievement Award: Recipients receive a fixed amount that covers tuition fees and a book allowance.
- Tuition and/or Accommodation Bursary: Recipients receive coverage based on a percentage (20% to 100%) for tuition fees and a book allowance. Students with significant financial need may also receive a percentage-based coverage for accommodation and a one-time living allowance.
Note: The bursary does not cover Bridging Courses required for post-graduate studies.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the PwC bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
- Education:
- Must be in Matric or have completed Matric with exemption and university acceptance.
- Must be studying or intend to study full-time towards a SAICA-accredited degree at a SAICA-accredited institution.
- Must have a minimum “B” symbol in Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy) and English in Matric.
- Must have a minimum overall average of 75% in Matric, 70% in the 1st or 2nd year of study, or 65% in the 3rd or 4th year of study.
- Skills:
- Must be fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Must possess leadership, business, technical, digital, interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
