The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) is excited to announce its Graduate Internship Programme for the financial year 2024/25. This opportunity is tailored for unemployed graduates looking to gain practical experience in their field of study and make meaningful contributions to environmental management and conservation.

Internship Details

Fields of Study:

  • Environmental Management and Sciences
  • Nature Conservation
  • Wildlife Management

Qualifications Required:

  • National Diploma/Degree in Environmental Management and Sciences
  • National Diploma/Degree in Nature Conservation
  • National Diploma/Degree in Wildlife Management

Monthly Stipend:

  • R5,000.00

Duration:

  • Twelve (12) months

Station/Reserve Placements:

  • SS Skhosana Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Mabusa Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Mdala Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Verloren Vale Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Mkhombo Dam Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Nooitgedacht Dam Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Songimvelo Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Barberton Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Mahushe Shongwe Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Mthethomusha Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Manyeleti Nature Reserves (1 position)
  • Bushbuckridge Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Andover Nature Reserve (1 position)
  • Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve (1 position)

Total Positions Available:

  • Fourteen (14)

Qualifying Criteria

  • Age: Unemployed South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35 years
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in any of the Biodiversity Conservation study fields
  • Residency: Must be residing in the Mpumalanga Province
  • Inclusivity: People living with disabilities are encouraged to apply
