Program Overview:
The DARD Learnership program is an excellent opportunity for unemployed youth to acquire practical skills in agriculture and rural development. Successful applicants will be enrolled in the program for a period of 12 months, during which they will receive a monthly stipend as per the guidelines of the Department of Public Service and Administration’s Directive on youth development programs.

Eligibility Requirements:
NQF Level 02/03:
- South African citizenship
- Residency in KwaZulu-Natal
- Unemployed and between the ages of 18 – 35
- AET Level 4/Standard 7/Grade 9/10
- Completed and deemed competent in NQF1/2 in Animal/Plant Production
NQF Level 04:
- South African citizenship
- Residency in KwaZulu-Natal
- Unemployed and between the ages of 18 – 35
- Grade 12/Standard 10 with passes in English, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences
- Completed and deemed competent in NQF 3 in Animal/Plant Production
