Position Overview:
Rosebank College is seeking a Finance Intern to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. This role is pivotal in supporting financial operations, ensuring transactions are processed accurately according to established controls and accounting principles.

Job Purpose:
As a Finance Intern, you will be responsible for handling various financial tasks including processing transactions, managing creditors and debtors, and maintaining fixed assets records.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Creditors:

  • Daily processing of purchase orders and supplier invoices.
  • Loading of supplier banking details for payment approvals.
  • Processing corporate credit transactions and petty cash transactions.
  • Preparing payment reconciliations on a daily or monthly basis.
  • Assisting with BEE certificate collection and updating the supplier database.

Fixed Assets:

  • Managing asset acquisition and disposal using D365.

Debtors:

  • Assisting with queries related to unidentified receipts.
  • Loading bank details for refund processing.
  • Handling billing adjustments using D365.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with accounting as a subject.
  • Qualification in Finance – Diploma/Degree (Advantageous).

Experience:

  • No prior experience is required.

Key Competencies:

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Numerical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Honest, ethical, and effective communication skills.
