POST 25/23: REGISTRY CLERK – MEC’S OFFICE (REF NO: SAC 2024/11)

  • Salary: R216 417 per annum (Level 05)
  • Centre: Head Office, Polokwane

Requirements:

  • NQF level 4/Grade 12 certificate from a recognized institution.
  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF 6) in Records Management/Archives as recognized by SAQA is an added advantage.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of registry duties, practices, and data capture.
    • Proficiency in operating a computer.
    • Understanding of the legislative framework governing Public Service.
    • Knowledge of storage and retrieval procedures.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Duties:

  • Render asset management clerical support.
  • Handle telephonic and other inquiries.
  • Receive and register hand-delivered mail/files.
  • Render demand and acquisition clerical support.
  • Sort, register, and dispatch mail.
  • Distribute notices on registry issues.
  • Provide logistical support services.
  • Open files according to the record classification system.
  • File/storage, trace (electronically/manually), and retrieve documents and files.
  • Complete index cards for all files.
  • Operate office machines related to the registry function.
  • Process documents for archiving and/or disposal.
  • Conduct electronic scanning of files.
  • Sort and package files for archives and distribution.
  • Compile a list of documents to be archived and submit to the supervisor.
  • Keep records of archived documents.

POST 25/24: HUMAN RESOURCE CLERK (REF NO: SAC 2024/12)

  • Salary: R216 417 per annum (Level 05)
  • Centre: Head Office, Polokwane

Requirements:

  • NQF level 4/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Qualification in Human Resource Management or Public Administration/Management as recognized by SAQA is an added advantage.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of HR duties and practices.
    • Data capture and computer operation skills.
    • Understanding of the legislative framework governing Public Service.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Duties:

  • Manage leave applications and records.
  • Capture leave forms in PERSAL.
  • Update the leave register and audit leave days.
  • Administer service benefits such as housing allowance and medical aid.
  • Process pension withdrawals and payments for service termination.
  • Administer recognition of long service.
  • Coordinate the implementation of COIDA and administer injury on duty cases.

POST 25/25: LIBRARY ASSISTANT (REF NO: SAC 2024/13) (06 POSTS)

  • Salary: R183 279 per annum (Level 4)

Requirements:

  • NQF level 4/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Library & Information Studies/Science as recognized by SAQA is an added advantage.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of administration procedures in the library environment.
    • Proficiency in computer and internet usage.
    • Planning and organizing skills.
    • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure.

Duties:

  • Provide clerical support services within the library.
  • Assist with library administration and computerization of materials.
  • Support awareness and collection development services.
  • Assist with processing library materials for shelving.
  • Help manage day-to-day library operations.
  • Sort, shelve, and read library materials according to categorization.
  • Assist with library asset management.
  • Aid library users in locating reading and research materials.
  • Handle counter, phone, and email inquiries.
  • Check books in and out at the front desk.
  • Register new customers and update customer profiles.
