Job Description
As a Desktop Engineer Trainee, you will support the Coronation team with all IT infrastructure-related matters. This role offers a great opportunity for career growth, learning, and development in a challenging and service-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line IT support
- Build, configure, and implement end-user devices
- Manage user creation and deletion on the CFM domain
- Resolve SLA-based calls logged on behalf of users via the Helpdesk
- Offer first-line support for internal development applications
- Troubleshoot problem machines and software
- Maintain security software
- Support audio-visual equipment
- Configure new technologies
- Perform ad hoc duties as they arise
- Working hours: 08h00 – 17h00 (with flexibility and possible after-hours work)
Ideal Experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Root cause analysis
- Documenting resolution to problems
Ideal Qualifications
- Relevant qualification: B-Tech / Bachelor’s degree in IT
- MCSE certified
- A+ certified
Most Important Attributes
- Willingness to learn and continue education in the IT field
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Active listening skills to properly understand and troubleshoot problems
Systems Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
