As a Graduate Management Accountant at Nexio, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Management Accountant with various financial tasks. Your responsibilities will include managing the month-end process, performing variance analysis, preparing monthly Business Unit packs, performance reports, and group reporting to Vodacom. Additionally, you will contribute to financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in collaboration with functional Unit Heads.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial performance reports and metrics.
- Analyze sales data for accurate reporting, engaging with commercial and sales teams.
- Prepare monthly Business Performance packs and present to all Functional Unit Heads.
- Compile detailed weekly forecasts and analyze information sources, interacting with commercial, sales, billing, and project management teams.
- Manage the yearly budget process, collaborating with all Business Units.
- Prepare budget packs for Vodacom and develop an operating expense dashboard for cost monitoring.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks requested by the CFO office and assist in the implementation of a new ERP system.
Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, you should have:
- An undergraduate or postgraduate BCom in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or be a CIMA learner.
- Ideally, 0-1 years of experience in a Management Accountant role within the ICT sector.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Sage X3 (advantageous).
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective engagement with executive and senior stakeholders.
- A keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently.
