Hollywood Foundation “Future is Bright” Bursary Programme
The Hollywood Foundation is thrilled to announce the “Future is Bright” Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year. This bursary aims to support South African students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in critical fields, enhancing their academic and professional journeys.

The Foundation’s goal is to bridge the gap between high school education and the workforce, boosting employment prospects for young South Africans by funding their education.
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary offers full or partial coverage for study-related expenses based on the student’s field of study and academic performance. It supports one year of study at a time, with the possibility of reapplying for continued funding in subsequent years.

Note: Bursary recipients may need to undergo assessments and interviews before final selection. Feedback on applications will be provided by the end of December 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Hollywood Foundation “Future is Bright” Bursary, you must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: South African
- Education Level:
- Completed Matric or currently in Matric
- Studying or planning to study a qualification in one of the listed fields in 2025
- Qualification must be 12 months or longer
- Enrolled or planning to enroll at a DHET-registered institution in South Africa
- Academic Performance:
- Minimum overall average of 65% in Matric (if currently in Matric)
- Minimum 60% average at tertiary level (if already in tertiary education)
- Documentation:
- Certified copy of ID document
- Matric certificate or statement of results
- Acceptance letter or proof of application from your institution
- Detailed information about the chosen qualification
- Name and address of the registered institution
- Proforma invoice/estimate invoice for tuition and examination fees
- Proof of banking details from the institution
- Proof of address
- Motivational letter
