Position Overview

As a Fitter Assistant, your primary role will be to assist artisans in maintaining, modifying, installing, and repairing plant and machinery. You will also help inspect equipment and report any faults to ensure that maintenance is scheduled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in performing both planned and unscheduled mechanical maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
  • Maintain cleanliness during and after your work.
  • Fit, inspect, test, and repair equipment in collaboration with the artisan.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of machinery and equipment.
  • Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts for safe and efficient operation.
  • Help achieve all maintenance, safety, and housekeeping objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements
