About the UJ W&RSETA Bursary Programme – Fields Covered

The bursary covers full annual study fees, as well as expenses related to data collection and language editing, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic progress.
Eligibility Requirements for the UJ W&RSETA Bursary
To qualify for the UJ W&RSETA Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Must be enrolled or intending to pursue Master’s or PhD studies in the specified fields at UJ
- For Master’s degree applicants: Must have completed an Honours degree in Marketing or Retailing with a minimum of 60% for Research Methodology on NQF level 8 and an overall degree average of 60% or higher
- For PhD degree applicants: Must have completed a Master’s degree in Marketing or Retailing with a minimum of 65% for your Master’s AND a minimum of 60% for Research Methodology on NQF level 8
- Must have an approved Master’s or PhD proposal focusing on the preferred study areas
- Must demonstrate a passion for the retail sector
