Position Title: Business Control Graduate
Programme Overview: The Volvo Trucks Southern Africa Finance Internship Programme is designed to give recent graduates exposure to different aspects of Business Control. Based at the Regional Distribution Centre in Boksburg, the successful candidate will work closely with the Business Control team, gaining practical experience and insight into financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Management cost control.
- Assisting with monthly financial reporting, including journal posting and review on the SAP accounting system.
- Reporting financial results on the VGCS system.
- Conducting detailed financial analyses versus planned budgets.
- Preparing and presenting results to the Business Control Global Team.
- Assisting with preparing financial forecasts and budgets.
- Supporting equipment investment management.
- Participating in Cost Deployment initiatives to reduce waste, costs, and increase productivity.
- Performing various finance-related tasks.
- Compiling freight cost reports and analyzing costs for accuracy and completeness.
- Arranging for freight payments.
- Assisting with the procurement process, including creating purchase orders and delivery of goods.
- Managing the spend and usage of miscellaneous items.
- Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Service Market Logistics Team.
Requirements: Candidates must have a Diploma or Degree in Finance.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with confidence in PowerPoint and Excel being advantageous.
