More About the JAWS Bursary Programme – Expenses Covered, Service Contract & Selection
The JAWS bursary will cover tuition fees as a minimum, with potential additional support for accommodation and a prescribed textbooks allowance.
Bursary recipients are required to complete 6 weeks of paid vacation work at Jones & Wagener offices in Rivonia or Centurion during July and/or December holidays, providing valuable hands-on experience.
Upon graduation, bursary holders must work at Jones & Wagener for a period equivalent to their bursary award duration.
Shortlisted applicants will be notified by 31 October 2024. If you do not receive feedback by this date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
Eligibility Requirements for the Jones & Wagener Bursary
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- South African citizenship
- Completed Matric or currently in Matric
- Intending to study towards one of the specified BEng or BSc qualifications in 2025
- Enrolled or intending to enroll at a recognized and accredited South African university
- Strong academic record, with a minimum of 75% for Mathematics and Physical Science in Matric (or Grade 11 final results if currently in Matric)
