The KwaZulu-Natal Office of the Premier, in partnership with LGSETA, is inviting suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Internship and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) positions for the 2024 – 2025 financial year. This is a fantastic chance for 120 interns and learners to gain valuable experience in various provincial departments and municipalities across KwaZulu-Natal.

Programme Overview
The internship and WIL programmes aim to provide unemployed graduates and learners with opportunities to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a real-world setting. These positions are available for a period of up to 12 months, offering an excellent pathway to kick-start your career.
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme
Requirements for WIL Programme:
- Applicants must be residents of KwaZulu-Natal.
- Applicants must be unemployed and have never participated in a WIL programme from any government department.
- Applicants must be registered with a recognized Institution of Higher Learning (a signed and certified letter from the institution requesting WIL must be attached).
- Applicants must have successfully completed the institutional requirements to enroll in the WIL Programme.
WIL Positions Available:
- National Diploma – Public Administration: PADM/WIL/24 (30 Posts)
- Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning: URPL/WIL/24 (40 Posts)
Internship Programme
Requirements for Internship Programme:
- Applicants must be residents of KwaZulu-Natal.
- Applicants must be unemployed and have never participated in an Internship Programme from any government department.
- Certified highest qualifications not older than 6 months from the current date (visible documents).
- Where a statement of results is submitted, it must be accompanied by a completion letter from the institution.
- Applicants must have successfully completed the institutional requirement from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning to be considered for the Internship Programme.

- National Diploma – Internal Auditing: IA/INT/24 (5 Posts)
- National Diploma – Human Resources Management Practices: HRM/INT/24 (5 Posts)
- National Diploma – Engineering: Electrical: EE/INT/24 (5 Posts)
- National Diploma – Public Administration: PA/INT/24 (5 Posts)
- Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning: URP/INT/24 (5 Posts)
- Bachelor of Construction Management – Built Environment: CMBE/INT/24 (5 Posts)
- National Diploma – Geographical Information Sciences: GIS/INT/24 (5 Posts)
- Advanced Diploma in Project Management: ADPM/INT/24 (5 Posts)

Important Documentation: Short-listed candidates will need to provide the following documentation on the date of the interview:
- Certified copies of qualifications and driver’s license (where applicable).
- Copies of acting appointment letters for occupying acting positions (where applicable).
- Identity Document/Permanent Resident Permit for non-RSA citizens (where applicable).
- Relevant registration with professional body (where applicable).
- Certificates are required; however, if a certificate is only to be issued at a future graduation, the statement of results, together with a letter from the educational institution indicating the date of the graduation will be accepted.
