Matric Gap Year Programme (2025):
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be currently in Matric (2024)
- Have achieved a minimum result of 60% in Pure Mathematics/Technical Mathematics and Physical Science
- Be willing to take a “gap year” in 2025
- Be willing to relocate anywhere in South Africa for the duration of the 2025 programme
- Intend to study one of the listed qualifications in 2026
Bursary Programme (2026):
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Complete the Matric gap year programme and meet the criteria for overall site performance during the gap year
- Be accepted into one of the study programmes listed above for the 2026 academic year
- Intend to study at one of the sponsored institutions: University of Cape Town (UCT), Stellenbosch University (SU), University of Pretoria (UP), University of Johannesburg (UJ), University of Witwatersrand (Wits), Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Nelson Mandela University (NMU)
