This programme is designed to offer hands-on experience and specialized training in livestock health and production, with a specific emphasis on supporting small-scale farmer development in Ottosdal, Potchefstroom, or Sekhukhune/Mashishing areas.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting qualified veterinarians in training small-scale farmers.
- Providing technical veterinary support to trained farmers.
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Collaboration with local government officials and industry stakeholders.
- Participation in intern mentorship programmes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma/BSc in Animal Health, Animal Science, or Agricultural Economics.
- Resident of Ottosdal, Potchefstroom, or Sekhukhune/Mashishing.
- Relevant technical expertise and subject knowledge.
Required Competencies:
- Proficiency in local languages.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good computer literacy (MS Office, internet).
- Availability after-hours.
Added Advantages:
- Registration as an Animal Health Technician or Animal Scientist is advantageous.
- Monthly remuneration of R10,000 inclusive.
