Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Latest results from the University or a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
- Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacy student.
Knowledge and Skills
- Written, verbal, and report presentation skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of the Pharmacy Act, Act No 53 of 1974, and The Medicines and Related Substances Act, Act 101 of 1965, as amended.
- Good record-keeping skills.
Key Performance Areas
As a pharmacist intern, your duties will include:
- Providing or performing all the services or acts pertaining to the scope of practice of a pharmacist’s assistant (Post-Basic) under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in a pharmacy.
- Performing all services or acts pertaining to the scope of practice of a Pharmacist under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in a pharmacy for education and training purposes.
