Your Gateway to Engineering Excellence: Apply for the IMESA Bursary 2025
Since its inception in 1961, the Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA) has been a pillar of support and advocacy within the municipal engineering and built environment sectors. Representing over 1,000 members, IMESA’s mission is clear: to champion excellence in engineering and enhance the infrastructure that benefits our communities.
Highlight: IMESA launched its bursary scheme in 2000 to support students pursuing civil engineering studies, including dependents of IMESA members, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder potential.
IMESA Bursary Programme Overview
IMESA’s bursary programme for 2025 offers financial assistance to students in two distinct categories:
1. Bursary Scheme A: For non-IMESA members pursuing a Civil Engineering qualification or related infrastructure engineering fields.
2. Bursary Scheme B: Exclusively for children or dependents of IMESA members who have held membership for at least five years, also in Civil Engineering or related disciplines.
Whether you’re a dedicated student or a dependent of an IMESA member, this bursary can pave the way for your future in engineering.
