We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our team as Driver Conductors on a 6-month contract basis. Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 (Std. 10) or equivalent qualification.
- License: Valid Code EC driver’s license.
- Experience: At least 5 years of heavy-duty driving experience in congested traffic conditions.
- Availability: Willing to work overtime if necessary.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Traffic Knowledge: Good knowledge of all road traffic rules and regulations.
Key Performance Areas
As a Driver Conductor, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Scheduled Stops: Adhere strictly to scheduled stops to enable passengers to board and alight as indicated on the waybill.
- Traffic Rules: Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations, including speed limits on public roads and private property, including the company’s depot(s).
- Loading Capacity: Ensure strict adherence to bus loading capacity restrictions.
- Safety: Ensure that no dangerous and flammable substances are on board.
- Defensive Driving: Apply defensive driving principles and the K53 system of driving at all times.
