Requirements:
- Education: A Senior Certificate and a Diploma in Office Management, Office Administration, or Business Administration at a minimum of NQF level 5 as recognised by SAQA.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in rendering support services to senior management or office administration in a similar working environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the Public Service Regulations.
- Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Availability: Willingness to work extra hours as required.
Duties:
- Diary Management: Oversee the Director-General’s diary, prioritising meetings, and informing the Director-General of commitments. Prepare documents for meetings.
- Scheduling: Organise appointments and meetings for and with the Director-General.
- Correspondence: Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Documentation: Establish and maintain a filing and document management system in the office of the Director-General.
- Follow-Ups: Undertake follow-ups on issues raised by the Director-General with internal and external stakeholders.
- Summaries: Draft summaries for the Director-General related to submitted documents.
- Travel Coordination: Coordinate local and international travel and accommodation arrangements for the Director-General and prepare S&T claims.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as requested by the Director-General.
