How Will University Students Receive NSFAS Allowances?

As of 2025, NSFAS no longer uses the NSFAS Bank Account system. Due to an ongoing court case, direct payments to personal bank accounts have been delayed.

Allowances will be paid through universities, based on an approved NSFAS payment channel.

Each university may have a different process. Students must consult their institution’s financial aid office to confirm payment dates and methods.
