Eligibility Requirements for the TETA Bursary
To qualify for the TETA bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizen or permanent resident
- Currently unemployed
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric or NCV (L4)
- Planning to study or currently studying in one of the listed fields in 2025
- Registered or intending to register at a recognized South African institution (public/private accredited University, University of Technology, TVET College, accredited Aviation School, Diving School)
- Minimum overall average of 50%
- Additional requirements apply for specific fields, such as a valid Private Pilot License for CPL applicants or proof of swimming ability for Commercial Diving applicants
- From a previously disadvantaged background
- Total household income not exceeding R350,000 per annum
