Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Work Integrated Learning/In-Service Training programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Student Status: Must be enrolled at a registered institution under the Department of Higher Education & Training.
  2. Completion of Theoretical Learning: Must have completed all theoretical coursework required by your institution.
  3. Confirmation Letter: Provide a signed letter from your institution confirming the need for work integrated learning/in-service training.
  4. Residency: Must reside within Umzimvubu Local Municipality’s jurisdiction (including Mount Frere – Kwa Bhaca and Mount Ayliff – eMaXesibeni).
  5. Supporting Documentation: Submit a comprehensive application package including:
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    • Certified copies of educational certificates
    • Copy of South African Identity Document (ID)
    • Completed application form (available on the Municipal website)
  6. Ward Councillor Endorsement: A proof of residence from the Ward Councillor must be included with the application.
  7. Disability Applications: Individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
